This article analyzes the role and impact of loanwords in dance terminology using the examples of the English and Uzbek languages. Dance, as an art form, has historically evolved through the mutual influence of various cultures and languages, with these changes and cultural impacts reflected in the richness of language. Due to its distinctive adaptability, the English language has incorporated numerous words from French, Spanish, German, and even African American vernacular, each of which has influenced the dance lexicon in its own unique way. In Uzbek dance terminology, there are loanwords from Persian, Arabic, and Russian.
