In this article, some aspects of the applicative model and its role in inter-paragraph communication were considered. In the case of inter-paragraph communication, each paragraph is a component of the macrotext and is considered its segment. Already the components of these paragraphs, in other words, the operands of syntactic derivation, require syntactic structures in the form of independent paragraphs. For this reason, a paragraph has the status of a separate unit of speech. This, in turn, gives it the status of a speech unit level. The concept of level is inextricably linked to the discrete nature of linguistic phenomena. Based on this, it can
be argued that paragraphs can also be studied as segments of the macromaterial, and the paradigm as a tool that makes up a complex of these segments
