This article analyzes the introduction of the credit-module system in geography education and its impact on increasing its effectiveness
in the educational process. The credit-module system allows students to independently formulate educational programs, and teachers to
use modern pedagogical methods. The article also considers the challenges of teaching geography teachers new educational technologies
and pedagogical approaches, making the educational process more effective using international educational systems, and the obstacles
encountered in the implementation of the system and ways to overcome them. The article concludes with proposals for improving the
skills of geography teachers, improving the quality of education, and developing independent learning
