The tense category is one of the universal language categories researched in comparative typology. This following category exists in the verb system of all languages. Both English and Uzbek languages studied on a comparative typological basis which have forms of verb tenses, and also have morphological, lexical and syntactic means of expression. In both languages, verb tenses are defined by three tenses: present, past, and future tenses.
