This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and practical issues, challenges, and solutions in translating realia between Uzbek and English. Realia are concepts specific to national, cultural, and historical contexts, and their translation often presents difficulties. The article examines the subject-based and linguistic classifications of realia, the translation strategies applied in the process (transliteration, transcription, equivalence, descriptive and explanatory translation), as well as the role of context, cultural differences, and modern approaches. The research findings indicate that choosing the right strategy and preserving the semantic and cultural characteristics of realia are crucial in translation.
