This article represents the effectiveness of language and speech exercises based on the principle of “from easy to difficult” in the
development of the types of speech activity of historical students. The exercises relate to the students' specialty which are
developed based on qualification requirements. The extensive analysis also involved research by foreign and domestic scientists
on the advantages of approaches, methods, and technologies in teaching a foreign language that enhance professional competence
and relevance of students
