THE MEDIEVAL INTELLECTUAL LEGACY ON WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL: AN ANALYSIS THROUGH THE LENS OF RELIGION, PHILOSOPHY, AND FEMINIST THOUGHT
This article analyzes philosophical and religious perspectives on women's leadership potential in society during the Middle Ages. By examining the views of thinkers such as Augustine, Gregory the Great, Thomas Aquinas, Anselm of Canterbury, John Wycliffe, and Christine de Pizan, the study explores historical interpretations of women’s roles in social and political life. The article highlights the contradictions between philosophical and theological doctrines that laid the foundation for early feminist ideas.
