THE ROLE OF IMPROVISATION IN JAZZ PIANO MUSIC
This article explores the importance of improvisation in jazz piano performance as a tool of artistic expression and an essential component of the creative process. In jazz, improvisation is not only a demonstration of technical skill but also a key to expressing the performer’s individual style, emotional state and musical thinking. The article provides a scholarly analysis of the creative nature of improvisation based on historical development, the experience of renowned jazz pianists and contemporary perspectives.
