DISTINCTIVE ASPECTS OF SATIRICAL CRITICISM OF REALITY IN WORLD LITERARY STUDIES

Following the First World War, British society, marked by the collapse of Victorian ideals and puritan moral codes, could no longer be considered flourishing. Evelyn Waugh, witnessing the decline of traditional spiritual and moral systems, evaluated the world around him not through universal principles, church doctrines, or the values of the old English aristocracy, but through the unique criteria of his own intellectual worldview. A similar literary approach can be observed in the works of Abdulla Qahhor, a prominent Uzbek writer whose rich and prolific creativity made an invaluable contribution to Uzbek literature and art. His timeless works explore the life, inner world, and moral landscape of the Uzbek people.
