The article is dedicated to the study of the convergence of expressive means in a literary text, where one stylistic device acts as the dominant. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to identify the mechanisms for enhancing the expressiveness of speech. The mechanisms of functional and structural compatibility of expressive means are revealed, emphasizing their role in enhancing the emotional, semantic, and rhythmic impact of the text. Examples from prose and drama examine how such structures form rhythm, emotional background, and semantic accents. The study emphasizes the importance of such convergent structures in conveying the author's position, the emotional state of the characters, and the artistic imagery of the text.
