THE FORMATION OF THE CONCEPT OF “GOOD CHARACTER” AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE IN THE TEACHINGS OF MATURIDI

This article analyzes the formation of the concept of "good character" and its role in the teachings of Abu Mansur Motrudiy. Good character is shown as a quality closely related to a person's faith, intelligence, and manners. In Motrudi's view, good character is given to human nature by Allah, and it is revealed that it is based on the correct development of it through reason. The article highlights that Motrudiy evaluated moral values in harmony with Sharia and reason, presenting good character not only as external interaction but also as an expression of inner faith and spiritual perfection
