SUGGESTIVE FEATURES OF THE MILTON MODEL OF VERBAL INFLUENCE
This article explores the issue of influencing the subconscious through speech. The linguistic features of the Milton Model, which is actively used by psychotherapists to achieve such influence, are analyzed. It is substantiated that the use of cause–and–effect constructions, incomplete sentences, nominalizations, presuppositions, similes, and metaphors enhances the persuasive and suggestive power of speech
