FUTBOL, BASKETBOL VA BOKS TERMINLARINING O‘ZBEK TILIGA MOSLASHUVI
This article analyzes the process of adapting football, basketball, and boxing terminology into the Uzbek language from linguistic and practical perspectives. The research identifies the significance of transliteration, phonetic adaptation, and semantic translation methods in shaping Uzbek sports vocabulary. The mechanisms of transferring sports terms from international languages into the national lexicon, their phonetic and semantic adaptation, as well as the process of cultural integration, are examined. The findings demonstrate that sports terms have not only expanded the lexical richness of the Uzbek language but also reflected the nation’s perception of sports and physical culture. The study concludes that the standardization of sports terminology and the creation of a unified terminological base are essential for ensuring linguistic consistency and scientific precision.
