LEKSIKOGRAFIYANING TARIXIY TARAQQIYOTI VA UNING TILSHUNOSLIKDAGI ROLI: LUG‘AT TUZISHNING NAZARIY VA AMALIY JIHATLARI
This article provides a comprehensive overview of the origin, historical development, scientific and practical directions of the science of lexicography, and its modern state. It also analyzes the interrelationships between the Arabic, Indian, Greek, and European schools of lexicography, the traditions of lexicography, and the methodological foundations of dictionary creation. Special attention is paid to the types of dictionaries, the criteria for their classification, scientific typology, and the social significance of lexicography. The article is enriched with examples, in particular, devoted to the history of lexicography in Arabic lexicography and their role in lexicography.
