This article analyzes the types of tasks aimed at developing the ability to listen and understand in textbooks of the native language for primary school students, their methodological foundations and their role in the development of speech activity of students. The textbooks also provide scientific conclusions about the advantages of existing assignments, as well as directions for their improvement.
