The article presents the development of a methodological system for teaching students a foreign language through humorous texts, which includes the purpose, approaches, principles, methods, content, conditions, means, stages and result. The generalized data made it possible to construct a practice-oriented system based on the example of teaching university students. A schematic representation of all the elements of the system clearly demonstrates the results obtained and can serve as a means of clarity in preparation for such work.
