The author attempts to substantiate scientific findings regarding the connection between lonely old age and social relations, value systems, and spiritual unity in society. The author analyzed nhe problem of loneliness among the elderly from a sociological perspective based on E.Durkeim’s theories of social solidarity and anomie.
