INFLUENCE OF THE PIEZOEFFECT ON PHOTOELASTIC PROPERTIES OF BISMUTH SILICATE CRYSTALS
The influence of the piezoelectric effect on the anisotropy of the elastic and photoelastic properties of bismuth silicate crystals
was studied by the Bragg light diffraction method. The possibility of controlling the efficiency of such diffraction by changing
the direction of the wave vector of an acoustic wave in a certain plane of symmetry is shown. The propagation directions of
acoustic waves with the maximum values of the acousto-optic quality factor are determined
