This study examined the ability of the extract to inhibit biofilm formation by opportunistic bacterial strains Staphylococcus aureus,
Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida albicans, with biofilm inhibition rates ranging from 75 to 78% at a concentration of 62.5
μg/ml. Using the same minimum concentration, the extract's antibiofilm activity was also studied over 6-72 hours to determine the
duration and sustainability of its inhibitory effect. These studies revealed that the extract isolated from isolate Gb8S retains its
activity for up to 24 hours after application, with inhibition rates ranging from 65 to 71%. Beginning after 36 hours of exposure, a
gradual decrease in activity to less than 60% was observed.
