This article examines the didactic mechanisms for ensuring the effective use of artificial intelligence technologies by students in the context of the digital transformation of medical education. The pedagogical potential of integrating artificial intelligence tools into the educational process is substantiated, with particular emphasis on their role in developing students’ independent learning, analytical and clinical thinking, and digital competencies. A didactic mechanism for organizing students’ interaction with artificial intelligence is proposed, comprising independent analysis, formulation of targeted prompts, verification of AI-generated information, critical evaluation, reconstruction of the obtained information, and reflective conclusion. The article also identifies pedagogical conditions for shifting from the mechanical assimilation of AI-generated information toward independent, critical, and evidence-based learning activities.
