The article discusses the features of the formation of monologue speech among students in grades 10–11 of schools with Uzbek as the
language of instruction. The main difficulties faced by schoolchildren, such as limited vocabulary, errors in grammar, lack of speech
clichés and psychological barriers, are analyzed. Effective teaching methods and techniques are proposed, including lexical and
grammatical training, the use of speech supports, project activities, role-playing games and work with texts. Particular attention is paid to
the role of the teacher in creating a comfortable language environment. The development of monologue speech contributes to the
formation of students’ communicative competence, which is important for their further education and professional activities.
