Mazkur maqolada talabalarda ta’lim avtonomiyasini shakllantirishning psixolingvistik asoslari tahlil qilinadi, shuningdek til va
ong o‘rtasidagi o‘zaro munosabatlar, neyrolingvistika va psixolingvistika doirasida tilni o‘zlashtirish jarayoniga ta’sir etuvchi
kognitiv hamda metakognitiv mexanizmlarning ahamiyati yoritilgan. Xususan, talabalarning mustaqil o‘rganish jarayonida so‘z
boyligini kengaytirish, sifat so‘z turkumini o‘zlashtirish va strategik o‘rganish usullaridan foydalanish masalalariga alohida
e’tibor qaratiladi. Maqolada ta’lim avtonomiyasini rivojlantirishda o‘quvchilarning o‘z-o‘zini boshqarish, o‘quv maqsadlarini
belgilash, o‘rganish jarayonini rejalashtirish, nazorat qilish va baholash ko‘nikmalarining roli asoslab berilgan. Shuningdek,
GOAL metodikasi misolida metakognitiv strategiyalarni o‘quv jarayoniga tatbiq etishning samaradorligi ochib beriladi.
