Mazkur maqolada ekoturizmning nazariy asoslari va ushbu sohada faoliyat yurituvchi gidlarni kasbiy tayyorlash masalalari tahlil qilinadi. Ekoturizm barqaror turizm modeli sifatida atrof-muhitni muhofaza qilish, ekologik ta’lim va madaniyatlararo muloqotni uyg‘unlashtiradi. Tadqiqotda O‘zbekistonda ekoturizm rivojlanishining hozirgi holati, ushbu sohaning salohiyati hamda xalqaro sayyohlar bilan samarali ishlay oladigan malakali gidlar ehtiyoji yoritilgan. Ayniqsa, ingliz tilini bilish va kommunikativ kompetensiya ekoturizm gidlarining asosiy kasbiy talabi sifatida asoslab berilgan. Maqola O‘zbekistonda ekoturizm bo‘yicha gidlar tayyorlash o‘quv dasturlariga ingliz tili o‘qitilishini integratsiya qilishni asoslaydigan nazariy bazani yaratadi, sertifikatlangan ekogidlarning mavjud bo'shliqlarini yoritib beradi hamda keyingi empirik tadqiqotlar va siyosiy tavsiyalar uchun zamin yaratadi.
