Mazkur maqolada oziq-ovqat sanoati tarixini o‘rganishning nazariy-metodologik asoslari tahlil qilinadi. Unda iqtisod tarixi, ijtimoiy tarix, institutsional iqtisod, industrial jamiyat va agrar-industrial yondashuvlarning ilmiy ahamiyati yoritiladi.
