Abstract

In recent years, the digital economy has emerged as a transformative force shaping various aspects of society, including economic activity. Although its influence is widely recognized in urban settings, its influence on the economic thinking of rural youth is relatively understudied. This article aims to shed light on the role and importance of the digital economy in shaping the economic prospects of rural youth. Through a review of relevant literature and empirical evidence, it explores how digital technologies have opened new avenues for
economic participation, learning and entrepreneurial initiatives among rural youth.
