This article examines the physical self-development of university students as part of their professional education. Experimental studies have confirmed that the developed model of pedagogical support and its implementation enable students at a pedagogical university to achieve a high level of physical self- development competence, providing them with the opportunity to independently maintain the necessary level of physical fitness for successful professional performance.
