PROBLEMS IN THE ACCURATE TRANSLATION OF DEICTIC UNITS INTO UZBEK IN GERMAN TRANSLATIONS OF THE QUR’AN, THE BIBLE AND PRAYER TEXTS
This article analyzes the linguistic and pragmatic problems that arise in translating deictic units found in German versions of the Qur’an,
the Bible, and prayer texts into Uzbek. The study examines the semantic characteristics of personal, spatial, temporal, discourse, and social
deixis and compares their expression in the two language systems. It is revealed that the analytical nature of the German language and the
agglutinative structure of the Uzbek language lead to structural and functional differences in the translation of deictic expressions. In
religious discourse, deixis functions as an important linguistic tool that determines the speech center, sacred space and time, and the level
of address
