The article provides a comparative analysis of the spread of winged words in the literary environment of the East and the West, based on Aesop's fables, and their role in Uzbek and Russian literature and folklore. It highlights the intergeneric transformation of ancient fables, particularly their representation through the figure of Luqman al-Hakim in the works of Alisher Navoi and Saadi Shirazi, as well as their interpretations in the writings of I. Krylov. The study reveals the allegorical nature of fables and their significance in the formation of phraseological units.
