This article presents a retrospective analysis of the mycobiota of the Omonqo‘ton National Nature Park based on herbarium
materials preserved in the TASM collection (Institute of Botany), and assesses the degree of mycological investigation of the
area. In the course of the study, mycological research conducted in Uzbekistan and Central Asia was examined using a historical-
comparative approach. Herbarium specimens collected from the Omonqo‘ton area were taxonomically re-evaluated, and their
nomenclature was verified against the Index Fungorum databases.
The results provide a preliminary historical baseline for the mycobiota of the Omonqo‘ton National Nature Park and substantiate
the need for further comprehensive studies employing modern morphological and molecular-phylogenetic approaches to achieve
a more complete assessment of fungal diversity in the area.
