This article examines the didactic potential of artificial intelligence technologies in the process of developing linguodidactic competence among future English language teachers. In the context of modern digital education, an English language teacher is required not only to possess linguistic knowledge but also to select language materials methodologically appropriately, design learning tasks, develop assessment criteria, and use artificial intelligence tools purposefully and critically in the educational process. The article analyzes the potential of artificial intelligence technologies as a means of individualizing lesson content, creating authentic materials, differentiating tasks, developing analytical thinking, strengthening reflective activity, and forming professional-methodological decision-making skills in future teachers. In addition, the article substantiates the need to observe the principles of academic integrity, reliability of information, methodological appropriateness, and a humanistic approach when using artificial intelligence in education.
