SCIENTIFIC TERMS AND THEIR TRANSLATIONAL CORRESPONDENCE

This article analyses the linguistic and cultural aspects of translating scientific terms and examines the main challenges that arise when rendering scientific terminology into other languages. It explores the principles of selecting equivalents and the methods used in the translation process. In particular, the effectiveness of transliteration, calquing, and explanatory translation methods is assessed, highlighting their advantages and limitations. Additionally, the role of translators and the importance of terminological adaptation in ensuring clarity and precision in scientific discourse are emphasized. The study provides recommendations for improving the translation of scientific terms and demonstrates its significance in interdisciplinary communication.
