This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of developing media competence among preschool education students
within the context of digital learning. The study focuses on exploring the potential of media forms of children's literature (animated
films, audiobooks, interactive applications, AR/VR stories) for fostering students’ media analysis, media creativity, and media
safety skills. Based on the IMRAD model, the structural components of media competence, technologies for its development, and
methodological conditions of digital education are described. The findings demonstrate that the use of media-education tools in
teaching children's literature significantly enhances students’ cognitive, critical, and creative activity.
