HISTORICAL STAGES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF PHYSICS AND THEIR SIGNIFICANCE IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

This article analyzes the stages of the historical development of physics and reveals their didactic and methodological
significance in the process of teaching physics in general secondary schools. It is substantiated that teaching based on the
historical formation of physical laws and theories contributes to the development of students’ scientific thinking, cause-and-effect
reasoning, and understanding of the dialectical nature of scientific progress. The results of the study demonstrate the necessity of
improving physics education through a historical approach.
