The article analyzes the methodological preparedness of primary school teachers and the development of students’ logical
thinking in accordance with the requirements of the TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study)
international assessment program. The study is based on the results of a questionnaire survey conducted among 4,053 primary
school teachers from the Khorezm, Fergana, and Bukhara regions, as well as the city of Tashkent. The findings indicate that the
level of methodological preparedness is relatively high among teachers in Bukhara and Tashkent, while a greater need for
innovative approaches remains in the Fergana and Khorezm regions. The article presents evidence-based recommendations for
integrating international assessment criteria into the national education system and for enhancing the methodological competence
of primary school teachers.
