This article provides a comparative analysis of phraseological units in Uzbek and English that express goals and aspiration. The
study examines the semantic characteristics of these phraseological expressions, their metaphorical foundations, and the national
and cultural imagery embedded in their structure and meaning. In both languages, idiomatic expressions that convey concepts such
as determination, perseverance, diligence, and ambition are identified and analyzed in order to highlight their similarities and
differences. Particular attention is paid to the linguocultural dimension of these phraseological units, as they reflect the national
mentality, historical experience, and cultural values of each linguistic community. In Uzbek, such expressions often emphasize
patience, collective effort, and devotion, while in English they tend to highlight individual success, initiative, and result-oriented
behavior.
