PEDAGOGICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR DEVELOPING REFLECTIVE COMPETENCE IN FUTURE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS
This article examines the theoretical and pedagogical foundations of developing reflective competence in future foreign language
teachers. Different scholarly approaches to the classification of levels of reflective competence are analyzed, and its significance
in professional pedagogical activity is discussed. Particular attention is given to the methods of developing reflection, types of
reflective activities, and their application within the system of teacher education. The stages of developing students’ reflective
competence and the role of pedagogical practice in this process are also substantiated. The findings indicate that the development
of reflective competence is an important factor in improving the effectiveness of professional and methodological training of future
teachers
