CHANGES IN THE ECOLOGICAL STATE OF SOILS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF HEAVY METALS (A CASE STUDY OF THE ALMALYK MINING AND METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY IN TASHKENT REGION, REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN)
This article examines the impact of the activities of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical industry on the ecological condition of
soils. The study found that the concentrations of heavy metals (vanadium, cobalt, copper, zinc, arsenic, antimony, lead) in nearby
areas exceed permissible limits. As the distance increases, the level of pollution decreases, indicating that the mining and
metallurgical plant is the main source of contamination. The article proposes solutions for soil restoration and ensuring ecological
safety.
