STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF γ- 60 Со -RADIATION ON THE ELECTROPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF “KOMOLOT-79” GRADE COTTON FIBERS
The main results of the research are as follows. Research of electrical and photoelectric properties of “Komolot-79” grade
cotton fibers irradiated with γ- 60 Со -radiation source at different doses and doped with iodine. The research was conducted in
the temperature range (300–360 K) and voltage (0–100 V). According to the results of the study, it was observed that cotton
fibers (CF) irradiated with different doses and doped with iodine had a much higher current than purified and untreated
“Komolot-79” grade cotton fibers. The current flowing from all the samples prepared as an object of research was proved to
obey Ohm's law. According to the studies, it was shown that the photoconductivity of the “Komolot-79” grade CF sample
doped with iodine under the influence of ultraviolet light is mainly related to the formation of inter-zone electron-hole pairs.
From the obtained results, the activation energy of the deep level formed by CF doped with iodine was determined.
