This article examines the role of national-cultural component in the process of teaching Russian to Uzbek students. The research is aimed at identifying effective methods of integrating the cultural aspect into teaching Russian as a foreign language (RLF) taking into account the peculiarities of the Uzbek linguistic picture of the world. Special attention is paid to the analysis of linguodidactic principles and methodological techniques that contribute to the formation of intercultural competence of students.
