The article examines the significance of creative tasks in the process of forming the professional competence of philology students studying Russian as a non-native language. The main types of creative tasks, their role in developing linguistic, communicative, and methodological skills, as well as their impact on students’ creative thinking, are analyzed. Special attention is given to project-based, translation, and literary tasks that contribute to the formation of intercultural competence and adaptation to professional activities.
