This article highlights the relationship between the feeling of anxiety and the social adaptation of students with hearing impairments. Social adaptation, as a process, constantly occurs throughout ontogenesis and is determined by the various stages of ontogenesis (in terms of the level of activity, nature, degree and depth of influence, and speed). Social adaptation is the formation of an individual within a certain culture and a specific social system. A number of psychological characteristics influence social adaptation, one of which is anxiety. The emergence of anxiety related to interpersonal relationships plays an important role in interactions with others and in attitudes toward them.
