The article examines international experience in fostering media and information literacy through libraries. It analyzes the cases of Australia, Finland, France, and the United States, where libraries play an active role in educational and outreach programs. The research is based on a comparative analytical method, which made it possible to identify key trends and best practices. The findings demonstrate that libraries serve as vital intermediaries between educational institutions and society, promoting the development of critical thinking and digital competencies. The study emphasizes the importance of adapting international experience to the national context of Uzbekistan and formulating a comprehensive media and information literacy strategy.
