O‘ZBEK VA RUS TILLARIDA MILLIY O‘ZIGA XOSLIKNING LINGVOKULTUROLOGIK KONTRASTIV TAHLILI

This article presents a contrastive analysis of the linguocultural expression of national identity in the Uzbek and Russian languages. It demonstrates that the semantic units of a language, functioning as linguocultural codes, reflect the values, traditions, and mentality of a people. During the study, Uzbek expressions such as “Keling” and “Charchamang” are compared with their Russian equivalents, and their cultural connotations are analyzed. The findings show that direct translation of some expressions cannot convey their true meaning; therefore, cultural explanation is required. The article highlights the theoretical and practical significance of linguocultural analysis for translation studies, language teaching, and intercultural communication.
