This article provides a comparative-contrastive analysis of the linguistic expression of subjective modality in English and Uzbek media discourse. Drawing on the theories of scholars like V.G. Gak and N.A. Moroz, the research examines the role of modal verbs, adverbs, parenthetical phrases, and evaluative lexis in conveying the author's stance, emotions, and pragmatic intent. The analysis reveals that subjective modality serves as a crucial tool for enhancing the text's impact and establishing an emotional connection with the audience.
