MAIN PROBLEMS OF COMPILING MODERN DICTIONARIES OF SYNONYMS
This article examines the key challenges in compiling modern synonymous dictionaries. A modern dictionary of synonyms should be a practical reference, a dictionary-index, designed for a wide range of people who have a good command of and knowledge of the language but who, when working on words, nevertheless experience a constant need for a resource containing lists of lexical units included in a particular synonymous group.
