Ushbu maqolada zamonaviy sinonim lug‘atlarni tuzishdagi asosiy qiyinchiliklar ko‘rib chiqiladi. Sinonimlarning zamonaviy lug‘ati amaliy ma’lumotnoma, lug‘at indeksi bo‘lishi kerak, u tilni yaxshi biladigan, ammo so‘zlar ustida ishlayotganda ma’lum bir sinonim guruhiga kiritilgan leksik birliklar ro‘yxatini o‘z ichiga olgan resursga doimiy ehtiyoj sezadigan keng doiradagi odamlar uchun mo‘ljallangan.
