This article analyzes the main theories of crisis management and presents a theoretical rationale for systematizing approaches to
crisis management in higher education. It also identifies key principles that ensure the sustainable operation and development of
higher education institutions during crises. The theoretical basis for this study is the work of Russian and international scholars in
the fields of management theory, strategic management, crisis management, and the economics of education. The paper utilizes
concepts from systems analysis, institutional economics, strategic management theory, and the resource-based approach.
