Mazkur maqolada diskursiv kompetensiyaning mohiyati hamda kelib chiqishi tahlil qilinadi. Shuningdek, Yevropa kengashi tomonidan taqdim qilingan diskursiv kompetensiyaning baholanish tamoyillari hamda mazkur kompetensiyani rivojlantirish uchun qo‘llanuvchi turli qobilyatlarni shakllantiruvchi mashqlar namunasi berilgan. Shuningdek, mazkur kompetensiyaning natijasida yuzaga chiqqan til o‘qitish jarayonidagi o‘zgarishlar hamda innovatsiyalar ham taqdim qilingan.
