Maqolada so‘nggi yillarda zamonaviy ilmiy manbalarda nashr etilgan ma’lumotlar bo‘yicha tahliliy ma’lumotlar shuningdek,
yuqori dorivorlik xususiyatiga ega Kovul (Capparis spinosa L.) - o‘simligining kimyoviy tarkibi, ozuqaviylik qiymati,
ikkilamchi metabolitlar sifatida flavonoidlar, alkaloidlar, vitaminlar, antioksidantlarning fitokimyoviy va farmakologik
xususiyatlari keltirilgan. Shuningdek kovulekstraktlaridan ajratib olingan biofaol moddalar, ularning yallig‘lanishga qarshi
immunomodulyatsion xususiyatlarini o‘rganishning maqsad va vazifalari keltirilgan.
