O‘ZBEK DIPLOMATIK DISKURSIDA TERMINLARNING KOGNITIV-PRAGMATIK VA LINGVOKULTUROLOGIK XUSUSIYATLARI: PREZIDENT NUTQLARI KORPUSI ASOSIDA TAHLIL (2026)
This article examines the cognitive-pragmatic and linguocultural features of diplomatic terms in Uzbek, drawing on a corpus of President Mirziyoyev’s official speeches and congratulatory addresses from January to May 2026. Sixteen texts from president.uz yielded 121 unique terms distributed across seven thematic categories. The study shows that Uzbek diplomatic discourse deploys a recognisable repertoire of speech-act formulae and contains culturally specific concepts mahalla, Renessans, bag‘rikenglik, Yangi O‘zbekiston that present persistent challenges for English translation. Findings advance Uzbek terminological research at the intersection of cognitive linguistics, pragmatics, and linguoculturology.
